Pours a translucent brown with some ruby lights with a one to two finger creamy tan head. The nose is grainy, cereal, malty, sweet, BMCish. The flavor is malty, sweet, corn, BMC flavor, very mild hop metallic bitterness. The palate is thin with a metallic hop bitterness.

Bottle - Poured a nice brown color with a very small white head that all but disappeared. Aroma is malty and sweet with hints of dark fruit and some spices. Flavor is malty with spices and fairly strong of dark fruit... prunes, figs, etc... along with some hoppiness. Finish is slightly bitter with a medicinal aftertaste. A bit thin and more carbonated than the head foretold. Alcohol not apparent.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear brown with a small, beige head that dissipates quickly and remains lightly laced. Semi sweet aroma of caramel malts. Light amount of spices, lightly toasted grains, vanilla, chocolate, and figs. Taste is similar, but a little more vanilla than chocolate. Malty and dull spices. Slightly roasty, nutty, and bitter. Medium bodied and creamy. Overall, not bad, but it just didnt stand out to me.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a brown tone with an off white, foamy head that reduces quickly, and decent lace. Caramel, malt and sweetness, with a little molasses, and a bit of toffee detected in to the aroma. These follow into the flavor with a little resin and medium hopiness. A little medicinal. The body is light and somewhat watery. ABV seems a little high in the description. An OK winter ale but not that strong.
