Sep 14, 2008 Bottle from S&K Beverages in Plano, TX. Pours a dark brown with red hue’s, offwhite head. Aroma of fruit notes and some caramel, hops. Flavor is semi sweet with caramel, fruit, hops, with nice hop bitter, alcohol spice. Mouth feel is medium with high carbonation. Overall, good stuff.

Jul 27, 2008 Pours a thin almost clear light brown. Strong rye aroma with some cloves the peak a bit as it warms up along with some liquorish. Tangy spice flavor with some nuttyness, but then it dies down to merky water. Palate is thin, the beer is boring.

Jul 21, 2008 Pours a dark reddish copper colour with a medium size tan head. Lacing is intriquite, Aroma is slightly nutty and a times a bit yeasty. Nice, pleasent mouthfeel. Very smooth with rich flavors.

Apr 20, 2008 12 oz. bottle pours a clear garnet hue with a nice white head. Smell is nutty sweet malts and alcohol. Medium bodied with a velvety smooth mouthfeel. Taste is a very nice nutty malt sweetness with a decent hop alcohol tang to finish.
A nice brew to warm up with on a cold winters night. Dec 2004

Apr 19, 2008 12 oz bottle from acknud! Nose is lagerish graininess with some caramel and some grassy hops; clear dark brown with a small beige head; flavor is some caramel, nuts, and very light hop bitterness; finish is slightly bitter with some light alcohol warmth.
