COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We like to think this is an ale for everyone who believes you make your own luck. We sure did. And the result is a well-balanced, soulful IPA with just the right amount of hoppiness. An even keeled ale that goes down clean and refreshing, but still lets you know it’s been doted on by the Brewmaster. It’s true to it’s IPA heritage, but also highly drinkable. Lucky U. And we seriously mean that.

Hazy medium gold, thin white head. Nose is light hops. Bitter. Thin mouth feel and tart fruit in the middle. Finish is bitter and a little astringent. Not bad, but unbalanced to my taste.

Pours cloudy copper with a medium off-white head, fine and lasting lacing. Aromas of grass, grapefruit, pine resin, caramel, and some faint fruity esters. Fairly light and watery body, low carbonation, dry. Mildly sweet, a hint of citrus, then medium bitter finish, with lingering pine notes.

crazyvin (1705) - New York, USA - MAY 18, 2013
A nice copper body with a frothy bone color head that had nice retention and lace. Initial aroma had a mix of caramel malts and some mild bread notes. Hops were mostly grapefruit but there was a slight floral note. Flavor was nice and sweet and gave way to mostly grapefruit notes and while there was a generic bitterness to it, but it seemed to heavy on the grapefruit side of the hop spectrum. Finish was slightly dry and easy to drink. Light on the palate.

Bottle: Poured a dark orangey/amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of bitter citrus notes with semi sweet malty notes is quite nice. Taste is a mix between some semi-sweet malt backbones which is fuller then expected with some citrus notes and a medium bitter finish. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Hops profile is not as explosive as I would have been expected with more residual sugar then I usually like in my IPA.
