Initially, this smells very similar to two very other notable stouts (one an oatmeal): Big Eddy and BORIS the Crusher - a sweet but dark concoction of chocolate, coffee, deep cream and spices. Sep 8, 2008 I purchased this as part of my pick six at my local shop. This pours an opaque dark brown, with a light brown head. The aroma is very roasty, and a bit nutty, very different, but I like it. The flavor definitely follows suit, with roasted coffee notes, as well as hints of dark chocolate. A classic stout with wonderful roasty notes. Cheers!

Sep 8, 2008 Bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown with a tan head that laces the glass. The aroma is mild with some smoked malt character. Flavor seems very light, like a toasted brown ale and lacking any strong malt body. Medium to full bodied with a foamy feel and some lingering dry bitterness.
