Commercial Description:
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

From bottle : Very dark pour with a lot of carbonation, looks like soda, with an offwhite head and spidery lacing. Aroma is slightly faint, but what i do get is some roasted notes, with dry chocolate smells. Taste is roasted coffee beans and chocolate, finishes dry and kinda bland, with expresso notes, not much aftertaste. Kind of a thin body, real light mouthfeel, but has a slick feel with soft carbonation.

Pours deep black with a red under tone. Like a cherry Coke. Nice creamy tan head with a blend of large and fine bubbles that dissapate into a thin lace with fine brussels around the glass. Initial taste isn’t bad, sweet, but not overpoweringly so. I get oatmeal taste and then.........painted metal. I have no idea where it came from but that last taste is like someone left a galvanized washer in the bottle. Very sad. It starts great. My solution is just to take the next sip before the metal taste starts, that way, you only get the metal taste once. I believe the industry term is "slamming"

No light escapes the blackness of this brew. It is topped with a very thin tan head that leaves little lacing. Aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate, coffee, cream, and oatmeal. The flavor is not nearly as sweet as the aroma, but still nice. Coffee and bitter chocolate. Finishes clean. A nice stout.

dark brown and a thin tan head. aroma of malt and coffee. tasted like chocolate and coffee and maybe a little nutty too. had a strange palate for me and I thought it was a little weak for a stout but it was a smooth drop and I would drink again.

Pitch black with almost zero head retention. Commercial description is accurate, but I also detect sort of a meaty spice character in both scent and taste.

Pours out black with a little tan head. Aroma is of roasted malt and slight chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate and slight hop. This one lacked the sweetness most oatmeals tend to have.

Dark black pour with very little head. Looks like a glass of coke. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet stout like taste with a bitter finish. A little thin on the body. Good but nothing special. A nice smooth easy to drink stout.
