Feb 2, 2008 June 2006 - Bah. Beer poured dark brown color with really lame head, but nice lacing (go figure). Faint bitter aroma…doesn’t get my hopes up. A sip...not much going on in this one. Really thin and watery. Chocolate, roast and a little lactic flavor…but just not ENOUGH of any of it. Warming didn’t help.

Jan 31, 2008 12 oz bottle from Total Wine in Huntersville, NC. Pours a nice dark brown color with a light tan head. Aroma is all roasted malt with some touches of cocoa. Taste is the same with a light sweetness to it, some bitterness on the finish. Not that bad.

Jan 30, 2008 Served on nitro in Cortez, CO (biz).. Aroma is subtle roasty coffee-chocolate. Flavor is the same with a mild sweetness - finishes slightly bitter. Nitro provided the milkshake mouthfeel which I love in a small stout. Decent at best - but also expected.

Jan 28, 2008 Not sure why this is only in the 65 percentile , i think it is pretty underrated really. This is a great simple oatmeal stout. Just a bit behind Goose Island’s offering.

does not count  Jan 25, 2008 I really like this oatmeal stout. It is a bit on the syrupy side I suppose, but overall a nice beer. Has a nice mouthfeel and smells like an oatmeal should. To me the color is a bit off though.

Jan 25, 2008 Pours a nice dark brown, almost black, thin tannish foam. Aroma is almost nonexistent. Flavor is sharp but somewhat one-dimensional, not complex at all. I’d say okay, certainly wouldn’t bother buying it again.
