2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Reviewed from notes.
Poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a fairly decent dark brown close to black color with a fair one finger off white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute.
The smell had a light roast to coffee to slight sweetness.
The taste was somewhat bitter and carried the roastiness into it and the slight sweetness. The oatmeal comes out here in the taste as it warms but is fairly subdued.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionable quality about it.
Overall, for the most part, this oatmeal stout ain’t bad, would I have it again, most likely I would, would I seek it out, hell no. Standard oatmeal stout for the most part.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle pour opaque cola brown with light tan head. Nose roast, coffee, slight sweetness, and vague slightly green smell. Taste bitter roast up front, coffee and chocolate flavors follow. Late palate bitterness returns. Not as smooth and sweet as most oatmeal stouts. Thinner mouth feel.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Creamy dark beer with tan head. Nice roasted aroma and taste. Espresso and roasty taste, some sweetness. Fairly dry finish though some creaminess lingers. A little fizzy and light in body. Not bad

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Creamy sweet smoothness upon first wash of the palate. Slightly bitter finish becomes more prevalent and noticeable on the tip and back of the tongue as it warms and you drink more of it. A bit thinner than I anticipated. Fantastic with grilled sausage. Overall a nice offering of the oatmeal variant. I would recommend to friend.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home from backlog notes 07/08. Pours dark brown in color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, some semi-sweet chocolate, light coffee notes, some creaminess to the texture, a bit thin, decent enough to try.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the original brewpub. Pour is murky brown with a small tan head and good lacing. Roasty, cocoa, grapefruit, hairspray, bread, and coffee in the aroma. Taste is toasted bread, grapefruit, caramel, toffee, espresso, and earthy hops. Medium body with soft carbonation. Decent stuff.

Pours a nice dark color with off-white head. Chocolate and coffee on the nose; follows onto the palate. I also get some oatmeal characteristics on the palate.
