Commercial Description:
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

Poures very dark. I can’t see through it. No head at all. Aroma is almost not there. Just a hint of roastiness. Flavor is much better. Hints of smoke, roast and coffee notes. Has a thin mouthfeel. Can definitly taste the oatmeal. Somewhat dry finish. Decent.

Nice caramel colored head. Very foamy. Maybe I’m getting a cold or something but the aroma is a very very weak, vanilla/coffee/chocolate. Medium carbonation on the palate. Light roasted chocolate flavor. Overall, not bad, a good beginner stout.

22oz. bomber poured into pint glass. Black color, tan head with a decent lacing left behind. Coffee and chocolate in the smell, nothing overpowering or remarkable. Taste is much of the same, but a little better. I’m just looking for a little more to it. Mouthfeel is slick and smooth, but still a little on the thin side. Pretty good to have once in a while but one is enough. Worthy of trying; you may love it.

Pours out very nicely for a 2.99 beer. It smells like a good stout only with more flavor than most common stouts. Taste has toasted oatmeal flavor written all over it, with burnt black barley/coffee flavors as well. It has a coffee aftertaste like a dark roast, it’s very enjoyable. it’s thick and smooth in my mouth. Lovely. I enjoyed this beer very much.

Pours deep black into the glass with an off white head. Aroma is coffee like with some burnt notes to it. The flavor is good, but lacking something that I can’t necessarily put my finger on. Good stout though.

Average stout. Typical roasted malt aroma. Goes down very smooth. Dry finish. Not bad, not good.

Pours black with a medium brown dense head. Little straw aroma. Full mouthfeel with bittersweet cocoa and finishes with a touch of sour.

I thought this to be a pretty mediocre oatmeal/sweet stout compared to others I’ve had recently. It had a fair amount of sweet roasty character with some decent vanilla notes, but it also had a vegetable-like (mercaptan?) smell. It poured an opaque black with a fairly light body (as in not viscous). Aroma had a good amount of roastiness and vanilla in it. Flavor was vanilla, roasty, and had more hops than I would’ve expected (all pluses). However, there was also a compost/vegetable element in the flavor that I didn’t care for. As it warmed, I also got some smokey/rauchbier type flavors which were not unpleasant. Mouthfeel was not thick, but was not inappropriate. There are just so many better oatmeal stouts out there. Still, I kind of enjoyed it, and I’d weakly recommend.
