Commercial Description:
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

Bottle. A deep red makes this beer look black with a thin tan head to top it off. Malty aroma with some burnt coffee and chocolate. Flavor remains in the same area - sweet chocolate and coffee give way to a bitter finish.

Appearance: Pours a black body with a bubbly, ivory-colored head. Smell: Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, and dusty dry oats. Taste: That’s not at all what I was hoping for! No, but seriously, I was expecting much more sweetness from this brew. Taste is mainly roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, and later a bit of smoke. A bit of caramel sweetness can be coaxed out as it warms. Finish is dry, with a fair amount of roastiness, smoke, and only the very faintest floral hoppiness. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Fairly smooth mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Though not exactly what I was hoping, it’s still a pretty solid beer.

black with a small frothy brown head. medium thick pour. aroma is relatively boring for a stout but has some notes of roasted barley. flavor is better with lots of dry chocolate and bitter coffee notes. dry, bitter finish.

12 oz bottle purchased at Capone’s. Poured a deep solid black with an unimpressive light tan head loaded with large foamy bubbles. Aroma was mostly metalic with some oats and to a lesser note a little bit of a burnt malt. Flavor is an improvement with an initial sweetness that gives way to a smooth aftertaste mostly of oats, chocolate and coffee beans. Palate was a little thin. An okay beer but nothing to make me seek it out.

(another bottle from the ol’ secret santa)black body with red and dark brown highlights.nice creamy off white head that leaves webbing on the glass.aroma is smoke, roasted malt, and oatmeal.the flavor blends up the aroma with a slightly sour and latcose finish.

Bomber: Aroma is malty, chocolate, bready, a bit of caramel, somewhat grainy and a bit of oatmeal. Appearance is opaque, black with a medium sized tan head that diminishes into a soapy head that linger for quite a while. Taste has a nice maltiness to it, with dominance of chocolate note. A light amount of caramel intermingled with a nuttiness that diminishes lightly into a roasted note. Palate is slightly bitter, chocolate, and rather long lasting. Overall a decent Oatmeal Stout.

1 pint, 6 oz. bottle... pulled from someones cellar after a year. Very dark with a light brown head. The head lasted the whole time I was sipping it. Robust malty aroma, sweet bitter chocolate notes with faint coffee. Flavour is equally complimenting to the aroma with similar notes. Palate is good not too watery and not to thick... light oily. Very enjoyable.
