Commercial Description:
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

Dark brown with a brown head. Chocolatey malty aroma. Very malty cocoaish, coffee taste. Thin with a strong oatiness.

If you like heavily roasted coffee and almonds which ferment in cigarette ashes, this one is for you. The mouthfeel isn’t too bad, its thicker than the other Breck beers. I do enjoy certain aspects of the aftertaste such as some bitter hops which managed to make their way into this almost one dimensional mix. The oatmeal flavors are present in the aroma and dominate the flavor.

Bottle. Part of a Breckenridge ale variety pack. Pours nearly black with a small tan head that disappears very quickly. Aroma of roast malt, coffee, and chocolate. Flavour is rather sweet and mainly of dark chocolate and roast malt with a little coffee. Finish is slightly bitter with a more prominent coffee flavour, and somewhat on the dry side. It has a rather thin mouthfeel. I’m not really a stout fan, and prefer a drier brew like Guinness if I have a stout, but this is enjoyable and I certainly will enjoy the other 2 bottles I have left.

Not a bad oatmeal stoudt. Nice dark pour with a good head. Taste is not as complex as some of the oatmeal stoudts i have had, but it was def a good beer that i would have again.

Bottles. Whip-In (amazing good beer store - 1950 S. IH-35 in South Austin, TX). I have enjoyed this beer without food for some time, but today found the ultimate pairing for this beer. I rubbed a small pork loin with ground coffee, ground black pepper, cayenne pepper and cumin. Let it sit overnight, sprinkled with crushed red pepper and roasted for 1.5 hours. GOD BLESS! It was the perfect match for this beer. Pours a dry dark murky brown. No light escapes this brew. It has a nice brownish-red head that lingers and rebuilds with some swirling. Strong coffee aroma and flavor, roasted/dark malts. Low carbonation and almost creamy smooth on the palate. I love the way it looks! Dark and dank.

Dark, reddish black with very minimal tan head. Lots of coffee but not much else in both the nose and the taste. Not very complex but also nothing truly offensive. Flavor seems to slowly get more bland as it warms.
