Mrthirstyneck (341), Minnesota, USA Apr 2, 2007 nice oaty stout not HUGE but nicely done up VERY drinkalbe. some burnt and roasted tones, pours almost black. nice tanish gray head, smells burnt and raosted too. NOT overly huge but good and smooth i prefer a bit more burnt and raosty but id buy again. grab a sixer soon! lewis13 (49), Kokomo, Indiana, USA Apr 2, 2007 Decent oatmeal stout...just compared with darkhorse one and I’ve gotta say that the Dark Horse has it beat, but I do appreciate this beer. Nice and creamy like a milkshake! Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 28, 2007 Pours black with a mocha head. Roasted aroma and a faint roasted flavor. There are hints of bittersweet chocolate. Happiness (2), USA does not count Mar 26, 2007 Decent Aroma, looks great though. Flavor is a little lacking, as it is not as strong as other oatmeal stouts. Not a very great showing. Others of the style are better. JohnBruns (32), USA Mar 25, 2007 A very dark chocolate brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma is like most oatmeal stouts with a little coffee hint. Starts off almost sweet, a flavor that was expected as an oatmeal stout but has a very weak finish. I expected a stronger flavor, drinkable if your not a stout fan. zamco17 (134), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Mar 21, 2007 pours a pretty brownish, black. smell is smoky coffee. taste is thin. it starts good but there is something wrong on the finish. vomit is what is tastes like. had potential but this beer didnt turn out well at all markas101 (541), Fargo, North Dakota, USA Mar 17, 2007 33 cl bottle, Fargo. Dark black colour, tight tan head. Some strange acidic aroma, although flavor is quite good, very bitter at first with a warming smooth finish. richlikebeer (823), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 17, 2007 lots of hops in the nose of this...almost to the point of smelling bad (acetyl bad, that is)..the combination of the coffe and the hops just didnt smell good at all. the color was very nice, a solid deep brown, but the head was pretty much non existant...i even poured the second half of the bottle forcefully on purpose to try and get it to foam up, and couldnt get any. flavor was not exactly what i would have wanted in a sweet stout, there was much more coffee and not nearly enough sweetness than i would expect from this style. body and thickness are nice and the flavor and texture are actually very enjoyable, so if i were rating by style rules i would knock points off, but since i do like coffee stouts, on simple enjoyment of the beer, i will give this a decent score.
