Commercial Description:
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

dark pour w/ a tiny tan head. Aroma is a nice toffee and carmel hints of chocolate. Palate is thin and well coated. Flavor is mostly a carmel and slightly bitter coccoa powder lots of chocolates.. Pretty 1 dimensional but pretty gdecent to drink.

Body is opaque with a tan head. Aroma is caramel, coffee, milk chocolate, and a bit of butterscotch. Taste is chocolate, caramel, along with almonds, espresso (light but it’s there), along with the flavoring hops that are still present.

Pours a black color with a thin brown head. Aroma is of chocolate, caramel, roasted malts, coffee, and sweet malts. Flavor is strong of chocolate, coffe, molasses, and roated malts that give way to the sweet malts and oats. Slightly bitter and dry finish. Not bad but not that good either.

Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout 12 0z bottle Bottled 11/05, livered 07/06 Semi aggressive pour in a tulip glass Poured dark, with reddish copper rim, with light head that died disappointly quick in a few lonely surface bubbles. Smelt of roasted coffee and slight creamy lactic maltiness Taste begins with short semi-sweet caramel hints suddenly peaking into smokiness and quickly dying on the palate to leave an awkward bitterness as the malty sweetness dies too early. Mouthfeel was overly light and effervescent for a serious stout, but results in a good summer quencher stout. Overall I was attracted by its dark color but was disappointed in its light mouthfeel and smell despite an overall pleasant taste.

Pours black with a small dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Too bad most of the same flavor doesnt come through in the taste. A bit watered down. Nice smoothness though.

12 oz bottle, via Secret Santa PhillyBeer2112. Pours a clear black colored body with some mahogany edges under a creamy dark brown head. Aroma is mostly burnt and roasted malts. Some hints of chocolate, chalk, and oats. Flavor is burnt malt up front with some charcoal astringency on the finish. Some bitter chocolate and chalk as well. Mouthfeel is fairly thin with moderate fine carbonation. Dry and astringent on the finish. This wasn’t bad, but I didn’t get much oat character out of it in the flavor or the body, it was fairly enjoyable though.

Dark, brown coal, large head than disappeared quickly. Dry, plenty of dark strongly roasted malts, citric notes around, woody twig. Medium bodied, chocolate, toasted malts. Light mocha, medium soft. Lighter stout from USA which is welcomed break in long series of imperial behemoths.

Nice dark color with a lightly frothy chocolaty head. Aroma is prety subdued. Flavor starts malty and lightly sweet has some chocolaty tones, lightly sour and bitter before finishing with some espresso tones. Thin but drinkable. Has some good flavors, but not enough, and the bitterness doesnt quite blend.
