Commercial Description:
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

Pours a nice dark brown. Aromas of malts and chocolate. Flavors of oats, slight caramel, roasted malts and some slightly burnt chocolate tones.

This beer was brown in color. It tasted a bit like coffee. It had a nice smooth taste that was very enjoyable. I would drink this one again.

Frothy pour, with quickly disappating oatmeal (gosh) roasted brown head. Strong american "Budweiser" smell from the bottle. Extremely dark, with reddish highlights. Very roasted flavor, smooth on the tongue, with a slight bitter aftertaste. More chocolate than coffee flavor, with a slight sweet peat finish.

(bottle - 22 oz) Dark brown pour with a tan head and red highlights. Sweet and slightly bitter coffee aroma mixed with some higher octane coffee, chocolate and some light oatmeal notes. Taste begins with a nice and smooth chocolate coffee taste, a roasted malt middle and a sweet and creamy oatmeal and coffee finish. Finishes smooth and clean with a touch of oatmeal in the aftertaste. Very creamy on the palate. Got to get some more of this.

Dark brown body with a brown head. Moderately roasty, malty, chocolatey aroma - overall muted and not that exciting. Lightly sweet, lightly chocolatey, faint oatmeal creaminess Dry, roasted malt, espresso aftertaste.

Slight roasted malt and chocolate aroma, chocolate roasted coffee taste with a little licorice note, sweetness soon overpowers roastedness, a little on the watery side, didn’t really experience the smooth oatmeal texure.

Draught at the brewery. Beer poured an extra-dark, nearly opaque, brown color with a small, creamy, off-white, mostly diminishing head. The aroma was moderately malty with notes of toasted grain, dark coffee and a creamy nuttiness. There’s also a yummy, wholesome creamy note of oatmeal—the first time I’ve actually smelled it in a brew—neat! And a trace of tobacco. The flavor was lightly sweet, lightly acidic and moderately bitter with a long, lingering, heavy-to-harshly bitter and back again finish with a slightly unclean tang. The body was medium, the texture was velvety and the carbonation was lively. Unfortunately, there was a pretty pronounced metallic taste in the finish.

nothing remarkable or special here; pours dark brown with large brown head....aroma is somewhat muted, but has some chocolate and coffee notes, as well as some must...flavor is somewhat weak as well, and has the typical coffee and chocolate notes as well, and has some sort of roasted tinny taste to its finish...palate is nice though
