Apr 1, 2006 Bottle. Dark brown pour with a huge frothy light brown head that lasted and produced great lacing. Good roasted coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Full complex roasted coffee and chocolate flavor with a solid pleasing bitter finish.

Mar 25, 2006 Deep brown/red color with a beautiful bi tan head that is rocky at first but quickly settles to a creamy smooth 1/4" layer. Aroma is burnt grain, maybe a twine of coffee and cereal. The flavor is all down hill. Has a very cheap oily, syrup, almost synthetic taste and feel. There are some burnt rains hidin somewhere, but I don’t want to keep this in my mouth long enuff to serch for them. Overall they almost had something. Appearance was nice aroma was average, it just tasted like crap.

Mar 23, 2006 Nice black body, with a dark tan head. Very pretty. The aroma is a sweet heavily roasted malt. There is definately a heavy coffee flavor, with some chocoalte and roasted malts. Very good stout. The finish is clean. Good beer.

Mar 20, 2006 Pours dark brown with a thin offwhite head. Smells of coffe and caramel. Tastes like a standard oatmeal stout, oats coffee and caramel slight hint of chocolate. Could coat mouth more but not watery.

Mar 17, 2006 Bottled. Pour was a beautiful deep mahogany with a rather well-retained cap of caramelly-beige head. Intricate lacing followed it down. Nose was primarily of roasty dark chocolate and coffee... the coffee possibly a little stale, or that could have been some wet, woody floral in there. Flavor was of lightly burnt dark malts (dark chocolate and coffee again.. plus light licorice). Sweet oats and some coffee and floral bitterness emerged as this warmed. Very smooth through most of the palate with a few sour/lactic notes at the edges. Medium-bodied at best. I really enjoyed this one.
