alaskanwarren (286), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 8, 2005 Almost black. Dark dan head. Toasty aroma as it warms up. Alcohol noticable in aroma. Smooth, roasted malt taste. Pleasant bitter finish. A good, warm fuzzy beer. DYCSoccer17 (2187), Davis, California, USA Jul 5, 2005 Sampled with Tim, Rudy, and maybe Sammy. This rating is barely legible. Aroma is metallic chocolate with a slight sweetness. Opaque dark brown color with a creamy light tan head. Chocolatey, roasty, and slightly astringent. Boring. rudolf (1734), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 4, 2005 Thaks to Tim. Semi astringent nose. Chococoffee is light. Flavor is coffee, overly bitter malt, cocoa finish. ratman197 (3141), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jun 29, 2005 Nitro tap poured very dark black with a big creamy amber head. Aromas of roasted malt and oats. Mouthfeel was very smooth and creamy. Flavors of roasty malt and dark chocolate. intheric (20), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 28, 2005 Bottle - this was my first oatmeal stout of any kind, so take this for what it is worth. Excellent frothy head that lasted until the end of the beer. Excellent mouthfeel, very refreshing. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jun 22, 2005 Tap. Pours near black with a tan creamy head and spotty lacing. Dark roasted malt aromas. Dark malt and chocolate flavors, a little roasty. Dark and full bodied palate. Brad (364), Berkley, Michigan, USA Jun 21, 2005 22 oz. Bottle enjoyed on the golf course: Pours a dark brown with a diminshing tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, light coffee and chocolate. Flavor was mostly choco-roast with some hop bite near the finish. Mouthfeel was lighter that I would’ve liked, but still had a bit of chewiness to it. cigarsnbeer (146), Valley City, North Dakota, USA Jun 14, 2005 This a pretty decent oatmeal stout, malty and dark, with a nice head. Not the best oatmeal stout, but it would do if I had no other choice.
