Blackcherry color, no head and not much lacing but a great stout in Flavor and feel. Burnt Malt, Tobacco and just aright level of carbonation gives it a tangy first impression with a smooth finish jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jan 14, 2009 12 oz. bottle at Lunar Brewing. Dark black/brown pour with a bubbly, dark tan head, and decent lacing. Aroma notes of coffee and dark chocolate are modestly present together with some roasted malt and a touch of bread. The flavor adds some malty/semi-sweetness along with some mild hop bitterness. An unfavorable harsh note was present in the flavor. Medium body, and not too creamy as I would have expected with the presence of oatmeal. Just okay. Cletus (5051), Connecticut, USA

Not sure where the oatmeal comes in but this is one of the nicer dark beers I have had. Real nice finish, no bitter taste like some darks have.
