Poured from a chilled bottle into a glass. Dark brown color with a nice short lived head. Sweet roasted smell. Great stout taste with a slight bitter pallet.

I had this at Global Brew. It had a dark smokey flavor. I thought it was ok. I could drink this again, but prefer not to.

Not bad. Had it on a bus ride to NYC listening to Wu-Tang. Recommend it for stout beginners.

Bottle from Elevated, dark coffee/cola pour with minimal off white head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and faint coffee. Taste is some light oat, malt, chocolate finish, decent body.

When this beer came out, it was one of the best, easily available American oatmeal stouts... Its still pretty good for Breck, but not in the upper echelon of the style any more. Overly sweet, but with a nice mouthfeel.

Sweet chocolate aroma. Smooth chocolatey flavor. Black in color with a sudsy off-white head.

Bottle. I know it's labeled "dark" but this beer was a bit too roasted for a beer with little depth and a light mouthfeel.

Nice and black, creamy but so-so head that varied a bit between several bottles, thin sheets of lace.
Nose is coffee, lots of chocolate, burnt malts, roasted malts.
Taste follows but roasty and burnt malts are a little more forward. However, the flavors are pretty well blended, and none particularly takes over the beer. It’s a little more coffee stout like than oatmeal stout like IMO, but it’s a very tasty beer either way.
The body is pretty full and carbonation is creamy and smooth.
I will certainly buy another sixer of this one. There aren’t many oatmeal, dry Irish, or coffee stouts to be found around here (at least not real close) and I like to keep a moderate ABV stout on hand when I can.

bottle. lighter bodied black pour.Light head and little lacing. mild chocolate & roast aroma thats a bit light. Flavor is light roast, lighter chocolate. Ok

Pours the color of black coffee with a healthy tan head which lingers a bit. Aroma of very little, slightly metallic coffee. Taste is smooth but thin. Coffee notes, sweetness and the metallic aroma translates to the taste. Just too thin to really enjoy.
