Commercial Description:
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

mmmmtasty! So I’m not exactly the avid stout drinker.. however, this is a pretty tasty beverage! It poured a nice dark brown black color with a pretty tan/caramel head that was a decent thickness. Aroma was sweet, chocolaty, and not too much coffee in my opinion. It tastes great! Very balanced, a bit bitter, but sweet at the same time. I really enjoy how balanced this beer is.

A black pour with a thin tan head and good lacing. It has a malty chocolate aroma that is fairly subtle. The taste starts lively and semi-sweet, then it smoothes into a dry finish with a hint of coffee aftertaste.

Head dissapated quickly with very little lacing. Nice roasted flavor. Almost too smokey tasting. Otherwise pretty good regional stout.

A solid stout, for sure. Not sure why this is only in the 55 pecentile at the time of my rating - this is well above average. Woody nose, jet black color, low scumy head. Smooth dark roast malt body with a graininess (oatmeal?) in the middle. Espresso-bitter finish - dry and even tangy. Wanted the body to be a little thicker, but overall a fine stout.

Very, very dark with a light tan head and good lacing, really nice to look at. Yup, oatmeal in the aroma, but also some chocolates, coffee, and maybe a hint of malts. Oatmeal dominated the flavor as well, but there was a hint of the chocolate too. The mouthfeel was kind of like Guniess, very smooth, and just a hint of dryness at the end. Decent all around

Thanks to rcasta. Bottle: Drank during the blackout; full body, chocolaty and smokey, nicely balanced. Well crafted.
