Commercial Description:
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

Bottle. Dark stout pour with almost no head. Nose has some roasted/smoky notes. Usual roasted/toasted/burnt barley taste with some residual sweetness. An average stout.

Pours out black with a little tan head. Aroma is of roasted malt and slight chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate and slight hop. This one lacked the sweetness most oatmeals tend to have.

Pouring a deep brown with a creamy beige head, I like the aroma better than the flavor, propably because of the slightly watery nature of the drink. Coffee, roasted barley and barley malts, and a splash of chocolate appear both in nose and taste, although stronger in the former. Finishes on a mildly dry note.

Average stout. Typical roasted malt aroma. Goes down very smooth. Dry finish. Not bad, not good.

This a pretty decent oatmeal stout, malty and dark, with a nice head. Not the best oatmeal stout, but it would do if I had no other choice.

The dark, translucent color of this brew looks gorgeous in the glass, and smells like black coffee and malt. It tastes a little like it too, with some bitter chocolate and hops thrown in. Did I say bitter? Yes, it is! It tastes pretty good, actually, but it’s just too thin and weak for me. Even out of the bottle, this is a little thin on the palate. That is the reason I give it a lower rating. It looks good, smells good, and tastes ok, but it’s just too thin and weak. I would expect to need a fork for something this dark, that tastes like coffee and hops! Oatmeal stout? I don’t find it, and sweet stout is much more appropriate. Compared to other oatmeal stouts I’ve tried this one is a bit thin and watery. I like the very dry taste, even though it reminds me of Guinness in the bottle, but it isn’t something I crave or would buy again unless it was really cheap.

Bottle - Pours a dark brown/black with almost no head. Aroma is sweet and of roasted malts and coffee. Flavor is of chocolate, roasted malt and with some smokiness. Thick in body. Finish is not that long and slightly sweet; not bitter at all. An OK, but not great stout.
