Commercial Description:
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

12oz bottle. Pitch black with a small beige head. Mellow choco-coffee aroma. Lots of cocoa tastes in the aroma, with a pleasant mild bitterness. Rich, and pretty full bodied for the relative low ABV. Easy watery finish, with some roasty chocolate. Very smooth and easy on the palate, yet full of flavor. Better than your typical US Stout.

On tap at the Ale House. Pours a dark brown color with a large nitro head. The taste and aroma are full of rich grains, toasted chocolates, milky coffee, very smooth and nice. They said that this was the same beer as the Thunder Stout. A nice brew.

Dark opaque brown basically black with a finger of long lasting tan head. Nice roasty aroma, some chocolate, coffee. Taste is more of the same with a burnt bitter finish. Nice smooth oat body.

The main drawback was aftertaste. It’s like I am drinking a fantastic dark stout and then after enjoying a semi-dry finish, it’s like I popped a piece of metal in my mouth. Ok, it’s not that bad, but the aftertaste needs some refinement. Otherwise, it’s fabulous.

I’ve tried numerous oatmeal stouts now and this takes the cake so far. It is the only one that has had a finish of oatmeal to it. Has a great dark brown head and black color. recommended

12 oz bottle, gift from Paul. Dark brown pour with a thick cratery brown head. Aroma is faint chocolate, flavor is dark chocolate, slightly hoppy. Creamy, slightly bitter finish.
