COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich, round and roasted, our Oatmeal Stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

Nice and black, creamy but so-so head that varied a bit between several bottles, thin sheets of lace. Nose is coffee, lots of chocolate, burnt malts, roasted malts. Taste follows but roasty and burnt malts are a little more forward. However, the flavors are pretty well blended, and none particularly takes over the beer. It’s a little more coffee stout like than oatmeal stout like IMO, but it’s a very tasty beer either way. The body is pretty full and carbonation is creamy and smooth. I will certainly buy another sixer of this one. There aren’t many oatmeal, dry Irish, or coffee stouts to be found around here (at least not real close) and I like to keep a moderate ABV stout on hand when I can.

Pours the color of black coffee with a healthy tan head which lingers a bit. Aroma of very little, slightly metallic coffee. Taste is smooth but thin. Coffee notes, sweetness and the metallic aroma translates to the taste. Just too thin to really enjoy.

While this Oatmeal is not flat out the best, its far from the worst I have had in this style. A little too much hops, and not enough darker malt taste coming through, but still incredible drinkable.

12 oz bottle from Supermarket Liquors. Black with 2 fingers of tan head that lasts. Roasted malty aroma with notes of rich chocolate and dark coffee. Similar flavor, smooth and sweet with light bitterness. Medium body with a slick, creamy feel and soft carbonation leading to a semi-dry, lingering finish. Not bad, super easy to drink.

A - Pours dark brown with reddish brown edges. Thin tan head that retains very well. S - Roasted malt, dark cocoa, toasty oatmeal. T - Roasted grain, hints of dry chocolate, cereal, bitter sour, and dry towards the finish. M - Light to medium bodied, silky. High drinkability. Very easy drinker, a bit thin though. Great session beer. Serving type: on-tap 02-23-2011

Aroma: mostly multi-grain bread loaf, something reminiscent of Christmas cooking, but also something kind of sour/yeasty; Appearance: standard opaque brown/black hue like Coca Cola, head is mostly off white, ever so slightly cream; Taste: flour/bread, some caramel/toffee; Palate: smooth, but in a kind of watery way, a good bitter kick in the aftertaste, which I really like because its kind of a combination between hops bitter and dark chocolate bitter; Overall: I’m enjoying it, but its not the best stout I’ve ever had...

Liquor store near me had a Breckenridge tasting near me. Free pint glass if you bought a 6-pack. Decided to give this a try. Pours black with a very thick tan head. Didn’t have much of an aroma, very light coffee but that’s all I really got. Beer is smooth, definitley getting some carbonation. Malty, slightly bitter. Hints of coffee, light body. The bitterness lingers. Its good, but not great. Would drink it again tho.
