Subtle hints of citrus round out the complex aroma of Mosaic hops, for a beer so drinkable, itíll last through multiple acts.

Bottle - average size foamy head, cloudy dark straw color, moderate lemon citrus hop aroma and flavor, fair sweet wheat backbone, good overall, would be great on a hot day

Golden color with a small head. Aroma is hoppy and citrusy. Taste is nicely balanced with a subtle hint of oranges. Very good--drinkable and reminds me of spring.

Neato. Itís really quite good for a wheat with lots of very citrusy hop aroma punctuated by the smell of wheat. Taste is how I remember Blue Moon tasting about 10 years ago. I completely understand why this style of beer caught on in the first place...

Cloudy, yellow-orange pour with a thin and creamy white head. Aroma is of apricot and lemon. Flavor is apricot, wheat and lemon. Nice creamy body. Slightly astringent finish with lingering wheat. Overall, this is pretty tasty. Little off towards the end but overall very pleasant and the citrus flavor was nice and mellow.

6 pack from the brewery. Best before May 5, 2015. Four months on the best before date for a hoppy wheat beer is pretty generous. Anyway, Ophelia is a deep orange with a very cloudy body and a small, bubbly white head. Grapefruit is right up front in the aroma followed by papaya, wheat and melon. The body is pretty hefty considering the 5% abv. Lots of hop flavor comes through like citrus and papaya, but without an obscene amount of bitterness. The wheat is very, very obvious. They mustíve used a generous portion of unmalted wheat. Itís raw and grainy tasting like eating a fresh slice of wheat bread. Itís not a bad thing. Finish is citrusy, almost limey, with tropical notes. Ophelia is a wheat beer that is rough around the edges, but doesnít have any unpleasant qualities. The hop character is quite nice. This is one of my preferred offerings from Breckenridge.

Wow the ratings for this are all over. Pours a hazy golden. Nice aroma of grass and wheat. Taste is pleasant and well balanced with a bit of sweetness.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (grain, husks), moderately hoppy (resin), lightly yeasty (dough), with notes of cement, metal. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter, unclean, husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Wow...I havenít tried a Breck product in a long while, but itís evident from this sample that they still havenít figured out how to properly brew beer. This is all manner of dirty and clumsy...throwing a truckload of resinous hops at a rarely exciting style is their way of trying to make it interesting, which is of course the lazy way to do it. As a result itís badly unbalanced and offers little in the nose other than the aforementioned resin. Worse, though, underneath the hop odor and brutish bitterness is evidence of terrible malt extraction (painfully husky) and industrial off-notes. A drain pour and then some.
