3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a hazy light gold with slight fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet gummy hay and yeast. Flavor is sweet maltiness up front and boozy dryer floral finish on the end. Overall, worth a try but not anything I’d go back to.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Poured hazy, duller golden with a sticky cap of white head. The aroma picked up a thick dose of earthy and floral hops upfront, over pale malt support and a pinch of honey.. wisps of cracked black pepper on the back of the nose. The flavor found more of the honey at the core, along with medium-skinned fruits.. peppery hops surrounded and complemented well.. dry, spicy finish with a hit of heat. Medium-bodied and fairly well carbonated on the palate.. a little too hot at the end, but otherwise interesting.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from the Sahara Mart in Bloomington, IN. Pours a crystal clear, golden colored body with some orange to it. Finger-width, frothy, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is grainy pale malts, some nice zesty grass, a few florals, a touch of caramel, and a lightly sweetened cereal maltiness. Flavor is sweet and malty up front before it gives way to a solid grassy, zesty lemon, floral hoppiness. Some sweet oranges in there as well as some honey and sweeter cereal malts. Finishes very dry with a solid mixture of citrus-grass and sweeter malts to give this a light-moderate bitterness and lengthy aftertaste. Light-medium, smooth body and soft, light carbonation. Overall, an above average imperial pils. Has a pretty solid malt backing and hop presence that makes this fairly tasty. Doesn’t quite seem to flow perfectly together, but nonetheless, not bad.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: barley, corn (?), and alcohol, not necessarily enticing, but it doesn’t repulse either; Appearance: hazy, somewhere between yellow and yellow gold, medium white head on pour that sticks around for a while, lots of bubbly; Taste: initial impression is something very sweet and malty in the background, followed by the bitterness of hops, nothing else from the hops though (no citrus, cedar, or some of the other things that you get to enjoy in an IPA), even though it looks very carbonated, the carbonation doesn’t have the bite that I’d like it to have, especially given that it is a pils, Palate: nothing lingers, basically, it is what it says, an amped up (double) pils, Overall: picture an OTS pils magnified, now, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, when I think of cracking open a cold one after a hard day of work, I think of a pils, since this brew accentuates several of the good things that a pils has to offer, namely good grain and the bitterness of hops, I’d recommend having this one in the back of your fridge for one of those days where you just need to kick your feet up and throw one back

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy medium orange color. The head was a few fingers high, white, and reduced gradually to a thin lasting film. Some nice lace was left behind on the glass at the end. Smelled of caramel, subdued tropical fruit, and cereal grain. There was the slightest whiff of noble hops. Medium bodied and slightly sweet. Muted flavors that included cereal grain, grape candy, and hay.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Amber pour with a short, dense white head. Aroma is mainly floral and grassy hops but has a pleasant malt backbone with soft caramel, biscuit, light lemon and light honey. Taste is bigger biscuit malts, a touch stronger caramel, light honey, grassy and herbal hops, light lemony zest and unsweetened iced tea notes. Body is medium with a strong, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more biscuit, buttery notes, light honey, sweet malt, grassy hops, Euro hops and lemon.
