Grainy aroma. Pours a golden amber with a small non-lasting white head, good lacing and lots of rising bubbles. Taste is malt forward (cereal) with a nice hopped bitter finish and aftertaste. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Overall, this was ok, but not exactly the Pils taste I was expecting.

For a ridiculous style to begin with, this particular example is one of the better ones. Retains many of the characteristics one would expect to find in a Pilsener- cracker-like Pils malt and spicy hops with subtle (clean) fruity notes arising from the delicate simplicity of Pils malt and Noble(ish) hops. I would buy again if it was $3-4 cheaper.

Bottle. Aroma of pilsner malt and spicy hops. Flavor is malty, pilsner, earthy and spicey hop character with a touch of citrus peel, light sweetness with a balanced bitterness. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Overall, solid brew and pleasant.

Location/Date:Bottle on August 16th, 2012.

Appearance: Pours an opaque orange.
Aroma: Aroma is of sweet malt, very faint pine hops.
Taste: Medium light bitterness, buttery lagerness.
Palate:Medium light body, light aftertaste, some fizz.br/>
Summary: With Imperial Pils they really need a strong hop character..the one on this one was just okay.

The aroma is citrusy and soapy with a pale malt backbone. The appearance is golden with a foamy head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall this just isnít enjoyable to me despite not having major flaws.

tap at Dash In (Feb 24, 2012) - Pours lightly hazy gold and smells of light malts and citrus. The flavor includes sweet, mild malts and good crisp hops. It has a light to medium body and though 7% abv and called a "double" pilsner, I found it refreshing. Good, balanced pils.

   AROMA 8/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 16/20
TheRussB (20) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - JUN 10, 2012
6/10/12- Pours a murky deep gold with a white 1f head. Aromas of citrus, mango, alcohol, and phenols. Very full and syrupy like some double IPAs, very soft carbonation, cloying mango sweetness, bitter and dry on the finish. On a blind taste test I would've said this was a weak, sweet double IPA. This beer seems a bit messy and needs some help finding itself. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
