3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle pours nearly clear deep gold into a tulip. Thick sheets of lacing left with each sip even after the off-white, creamy head fades to a small ring. The nose is similar to a nice helles bock with a tad more hop citrus and grass. The malts come across as lightly toasty and bready, suggesting a sweet flavour to come. Very sweet light malty, bready flavour with pleasant bitterness that is still a bit low for a double pils, and not really very "noble." Some doughy flavours accompany. Tastes more like American variety noble heritage hops were used. Not much heat at all here, but at 7% abv, that makes sense. Tasteful, perceivable amount of DMS lets you know itís a pilsner without tasting like a corny, cooked veggie bomb. Soft melon/honeydew fruitiness, almost like a Jolly Rancher? Yea, thatís it! The mouthfeel is slick up front, gently carbonated given the style, and full-bodied, almost syrupy in the finish. Very sweet, but enough hops are there to keep it from being cloying.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Breckenridge Blake St. Pours a lightly hazy golden color with a small white head falls quick to a ring. Aroma is pale malts, lightly bready with some citrus and floral notes. Taste is nice sweet bready malt with a good dose of spicy floral hops, that finishes with lingering citrus hints. Sweet malt base is held in check by the hops presence making it nicely balanced. Medium smooth body with moderate carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Crisp clean yellow color with a slight orange hue. Very light aroma of grains. Palate is medium bodied and very clean. No metallic notes that are commonly found in a pilsner. Possibly the best pilsner our lips have ever encountered.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear light orange pour with a thin white head. Aroma is lager-ish, kind of sweet malt with a bit of hop character. Flavor is sweet biscuit with a nice bitter bite. Good imperial pilsner. 7% is hidden nicely.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Winter Park Beer Fest í11. Rich gold color and nice carbonation. Hops are nice on the nose and this could be a good summer refresher (if you want to get loaded in the process). Hides alcohol dangerously well, but doesnít finish clean. Dissapointing. Maybe it was a dirty tap. Get an Avery Joeís Pilsner if youíre the mood for something along these lines.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle, $2.55 @ Bertís Better Beers, Hooksett, NH. Used a lager glass. Head that laced real well down the glass. Nice steady carbonation. Nose is grassy, hay like, Light malt. Malty flavor, with grassy hops, some malt backbone. Medium bodied. I drank this while making supper, so it sat a bit. And the ABV is apparent when it warms. I mean overall, this isnít a style I drink much. If you like Pils, you might like this. Donít get me wrong, no major flaws, but not really my thing.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle, purchased from Dutchís for $2.67. Totally clear yellow-orange color, minimal white head, active-looking carbonation, some lacing. Really nice bottle. Really nice savory fresh hop aroma, very little of the skunk that Iím accustomed to finding in "pilsners", nor the alcohol bite typical of this style. Great carbonation and texture, good mouthfeel. Nice, hoppy aftertaste. Good, but because of the price this is a brew I can never again justify buying. Itís not $2.67 good. Just a very unique pilsner, worth trying once.
