Breckenridge Brewery Regal Pilsner 471 Small Batch Series 12 oz. Bottle Sampled 11/22/2010 from 6-Pack purcahsed same day @ Colorados Liquor Outlet, Colorado Springs, Colorado. 7.0% ABV. 35? IBU’s. Mild Noble hop front overwhelmed by sweet malt aroma and lightly flavored thick pils malt liquor body. Odd flavor and cloying mild hot thick end. Rich and smooth, but off balanced and somehow odd. (2.75 / 5.0). Lacy white head. Clear bright rich gold color.

Less aroma or taste than most supermarket pilsners. Too sweet IMO. Slightly cloudy golden color with decent body.

Pours a slightly hazy pale golden color with a small head and bits of lacing. Aroma of citrus, some malt sweetness, grain and bit of spice. Taste of citrus, mlat sweetness with a bit of honey, some grain and what seems like a trace of pepper. Nice bitterness, and a clean finish. Failry light body, crisp, clean and refreshing. Enjoyable pilsner with a bit of character and zest.

Appearance: copper and gold under a voluminous white head which lines the inside of my glass with lacey fingers. A slow stream of bubbles keeps the head afloat in blotchy beauty. Swirls thick and full.
Nose: bread crusts, saltines, green grass, key lime. Brisk – dry then zesty, zesty then dry. Lemon zest. Tropical zip in the back – papaya and star fruit. Floral and herbal esters weave in and out. Dandelion and white flower petals.
Palate: sweetness along the edge leads into crisp, dry, bitterness. Papaya and banana skin. Greenness of flowers, stems and all. Key lime and sweet mown grass. Smooth mouthfeel and gently mouth-coating with subtle sweet grains. Pineapple, coconut, and star fruit. Tickle of spice in the back – grains of paradise.
Final Thoughts: delicious! I was worried the bottle was going to be a dud seeing as months had passed from when I bought the bottle to when I actually drank it. Thankfully the beer deities were friendly and the beer delightful. Another winner from Breckenridge.

Location/Date:Bottle on August 16th, 2012.

Appearance: Pours an opaque orange.
Aroma: Aroma is of sweet malt, very faint pine hops.
Taste: Medium light bitterness, buttery lagerness.
Palate:Medium light body, light aftertaste, some fizz.br/>
Summary: With Imperial Pils they really need a strong hop character..the one on this one was just okay.

Bottle. Pours yellow/gold, with a white head. Aroma is malt, hops, and honey. Flavor is honey, malt, grain, hops, and fruit. It’s a bit astringent on the finish. Medium body.

12 oz. bottle, consumed on 6-17-11. Fruity, floral aroma features lemon and grapefruit scents. Continental hops noticeable in the nose, but it’s not as hoppy as I had hoped. Pours an effervescent, hazy brass with a small to moderate amount of off-white head. Produces sporadic lacing. Salty, “beery,” creamy taste features yellow plum and condensed milk flavors. Dry finish and aftertaste. Medium body. Lively in the likable palate. Breckenridge Regal Double Pilsner is decent but forgettable and disappointing.

Beerathon (1670) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 23, 2013
Perfect for what it is. A slightly hoppier version of a pilsner with a nice ABV boost. Hazier than a normal pils, but has a nice head and good clean taste and crisp maltiness.

JDBaker11058 (1647) - Maryland, USA - NOV 12, 2012
Appearance: deep clear gold with a short, fizzy white head that quickly shrinks to nothing, and very little lacing. Aroma: grassy and slightly floral, with notes of pepper and grainy, crackery malts. Taste: toasted white bread, lemon zest, dried hay, with big grassy, floral hops. Finish: slightly bitter from the hops, with a little malty sweetness underneath. Notes: Totally fine. Tasted exactly like what you’d expect: a regular pilsner with more hops and more malt. Even with the bigger flavors and aroma, it was still pretty drinkable, palate-wise.
