3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear gold in color. Floral and pine hops on the aroma, with a nice malty hay tone behind it. Taste was pretty bitter, like a pale ale, not like a pils at all. Spritzy, bright, floral, piney, lightly bitter, and balanced with hay and biscuit malts. Pretty enjoyable!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz single from Crossroads. Poured a bit thinner than I was expecting, solid clear gold body with a smaller to almost average sized bright white foamy head. Aroma is dusty chalk, green grape skins, dry bread crusts, corn husk. Body once again is a bit thinner than I was expecting, lighter carbonation and a chalky aftertaste, watery overall. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Blah, not bad but when something claims to be Imperial I’m looking for a "Big" beer not just a tiny bit pumped up.

Bottle on 06/09/2011. Mostly clear golden body with a small frothy white head. Sweet honey and grainy malt aroma. Sweet honey flavor, some toasty notes and a bit of grain. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: 12 oz bottle from Norm’s, 3/25/12
Aroma: The nose has a clean grassy smell, with caramel, some bread, and a little bit of fruit
Appearance: It pours a clear golden-orange color with a small white head and light lacing
Flavor: The taste has a nice malt sweetness, a crisp grassy hop flavor, and just a hint of booze
Palate: The body is fairly clean and crisp, there’s a hint of heat, and it has a lingering dryness to it
I liked this one. There’s a little bit of heat from the booze that I could see being an issue, but that didn’t overpower the nice crisp Pilner feel for me at all. The grassy hops, the fruity notes, and the malts all worked well, and the beer felt like it achieved the style it was going for.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hoppiness isn’t overpowering in taste, the alcohol gives it a slightly effervescent taste. Overall, a pretty good strong lager.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear yellow pour with ring of white head. Grainy and sweet, somewhat bitter tail. Nothing special, but coolass lithographed bottle.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Fairly pronounced aroma of honey. Clear amber, thin head, good lacing. Initially, malty with lime overtones but finishes grassy with a little grain. Not your typical pilsner, or even imperial pilsner, but a damn fine beer. Superb crafting!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy medium orange color. The head was a few fingers high, white, and reduced gradually to a thin lasting film. Some nice lace was left behind on the glass at the end. Smelled of caramel, subdued tropical fruit, and cereal grain. There was the slightest whiff of noble hops. Medium bodied and slightly sweet. Muted flavors that included cereal grain, grape candy, and hay.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
tap at Dash In (Feb 24, 2012) - Pours lightly hazy gold and smells of light malts and citrus. The flavor includes sweet, mild malts and good crisp hops. It has a light to medium body and though 7% abv and called a "double" pilsner, I found it refreshing. Good, balanced pils.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light golden. Nice white head. Light, summery, and floral aroma. Thick, malty, viney flavor. Green sinew or somethimg. Yeah that’s kinda freaky. Too heavy for the snow, that’s for sure, and thr finish sits heavy on the tongue.
