argo0 (6004), Washington DC, USA Jun 20, 2004 Sparkling apple juice body topped by small white head. Aroma is doughy, mild grassy. Taste is medium sweet, wheat, bready, lemon, with lemon and a hint of grassy in the aftertaste. Light body, some tart crispness. Easy to drink. An adequate summery beer. muzzlehatch (4422), Burlington, Vermont, USA Oct 16, 2006 12 oz bottle from Blue Max in Burnsville, MN (Oct 2006), imbibed from a Corsendonk glass at a bit above fridge temperature. A bit of frothy white head dies very quickly above the very clear yellow-gold body and leaves no lacing....weak, stale cereal-malty nose with minimal grassy hops....on the tongue a bit more real malt character, a bit fuller than I expected from the sad aroma, but still there isn’t much here to hold onto, just some faint pale malt and the merest touch of wheaty tartness in the morass of dull, thin watery textures....somewhat hard though low-strength carbonation....dullsville, man. hopscotch (4358), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Sep 9, 2004 Lightly hazy, straw-colored ale with a very small, fizzy, white head. The nose is grassy and doughy. Lemony and earthy. A whisper of green apple. The flavor is very well-balanced, but just a hint on the sweet side... if I were to get nitpicky. Very light-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Short, crisp finish. Refreshing on a hot, humid day, I would imagine. Lawnmower beer. Thanks to my client, Scott Jackson, for the bottle. Cornfield (4245), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Jan 16, 2006 Pale gold of body with a creamy white head, this has the Wheaties aroma typical of many American wheats. The taste is something better, lightly sweet, almost like a English Golden... until the Wheaties flavor kicks in. Finishes on a light, honey sweet note. I probably would appreciate this more six months from now. <font size=-4> Torrence Liquors, Calumet City, IL<font size=-1> JPDIPSO (4178), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Mar 6, 2007 Straw color with a quickly vanishing head of white bubbles. Hints of a wheat field next to an mowed alfalfa field. Faint rubber underneath. Wheat and corn flavors come together to create the taste of a light malt liquor. I say this as the alcohol does seem to be evident and only lightly hidden by a touch of lemongrass.
