2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Another one from the brewery. Pours black as night, with almost no head and some tan lacing around the sides of the glass. This one would go really well on a day that you are out in the backyard grilling. Slightly oily, with a burnt kind of day old coffee taste and very full-bodied. Worth a try.

On tap into a pils glass at the flying saucer in San Antonio.
Has that pretty, cascading nitro look. Thick foamy tan head. Dark dark brown, that I coulnít see any light through. Smells of leather. Tasts of coffee, burnt malt, and leather, perhaps unsweetened cocoa. Not as sweet as it should be. There is a tannin bite to it that isnít particularly pleasant. Ok I gues, but kind of a let down.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Lasting beige head, dark cola coloured hue. Hazelnutty malts procure a dark chocolate feel that leafy hops somehow passes easily. Interesting, if mellow, developing date, anise, cigar and cola notes take form among the evolving roastiness, but everything is too subtle and thereís a bit too much tartness to my tastes..
