The_Captain (280), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 24, 2008 Hazy gold with small head, good carbonation and good lacing. Slight hop smell. Acrid on the pallet, pale and a little hops. I’m not a pale ale fan but to me this was watery. Simmered down hops and grains and not much going on. Dry finish.
roder_60 (871), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 17, 2008 Pours a bright clear orange with medium foamy white head. Aroma is slight orange sweetness and bit of grapefruit. Flavor reminds me of those sugared orange slice candies with a bit of tart bitter hop finish. scooter_bub (163), Lander, Wyoming, USA Aug 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden-amber color with a small, slightly creamy, off-white head that clings to the glass. Taste is of caramel, malt, pine and mostly hops. Fairly bitter, especially in the finish. Aroma is much the same. For the price, this is a lovely beer, that is very easy to drink and enjoy. I wouldn’t mind buying this on a regular basis. msante79 (218), Illinois, USA Aug 1, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with a nice white head. Aroma is Hops, citurs and sweet malt. Flavor is watery with hops, citrus, sweet malts and some wheat. Kind of watered down. Also picked up some metalic notes which is not good. dkachur (723), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jul 27, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville, VA. Golden orange pour. A vigorous pour produced a 4-finger head. Average retention and not much lacing. Nice citrus hop aroma. Pine and citrus hop taste with a creamy and slightly sweet background. Nicely balanced. Surprising it’s rated so low. Beerman6686 (654), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2008 Poured a cloudy orange color with a pretty big white head. Aroma was of mild floral and citrus hops. Flavor is a let down from there, very watery and not much too it.
