Flavour much of the same, vanilla comes across smoothly, roasted nuts come in at the end to balance out this lovely porter. Very nice beer. ChetLemmons (87), orlando, Florida, USA

This doesnt taste right. Tastes like burning. Blech. Bad bottle or this beer is disgusting. BeerHawk (1203), Huntsville, Alabama, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2008 Bottle. Poured black with q frothy off-white head. Aroma of chocolate and a light vanilla undertone. The flavor finds vanilla, chocolate and a slight roast. Full body, soft carbonation, and sweet throughout. JaBier (1294), Capital City, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 21, 2008 Sample at the Hopsnobbery Collective Porter tasting at Dogbricks on 12/4/08. Opaque medium brown color with a minimal head. Malty aroma with plenty of vanilla. I would have thought too much vanilla would be better than too little, but rethinking that now. Also, this is more of a brown ale than a porter. Kinda tastes like Vanilla Coke mixed with Newcastle. SODAK14 (108), Rapid City, South Dakota, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 20, 2008 Let me start by saying I am not a Porter fan. However this one did not impress me as much as others have. Little carbonation and n head to speak of. More than anything the after taste put me off. This one is in the bottm third of the Porters I have tried. ¾ (5012), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2008 Bottle. Creamed amaretto, vanilla, almonds and chocolate in the nose, perfume-like at times but overall enjoyable. Smooth and resinous texture is welcomed. Vanilla is heavy but fresh, vibrant and delicious. Roast is minimal, little to no bitterness, little to no astringency. Could benefit from some more roast malt character, but overall it is a decent desert beer when consumed fresh.
