3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This was the nitro version on tap. Pleasant aroma of vanilla and some nuttiness. Milk chocolate color with a thin foamy head. It looked creamy. Nitro adds this and smoothness, which provided an impressive palate.
Carbonation was lower as expected. Strong vanilla and roasted notes. Pretty malty with a low hops presence. A little sweet for my taste and this definitely came across as a dessert beer.

12oz bottle. Dark amber color. A vanilla aroma. A sweet and wooden taste. Not a bad beer, but the aged version is much better.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 12 fl.oz from Drinks of the World - Bern (CH). Dark reddish brown, off-white and fleeting head, some laces on the glass. Aromas of malt, chocolate, vanilla. That we find to the taste, soft flavor, cup Denmark, choc-vanilla, brown sugar-caramel, fruity of hop and smell of coffee. A beautiful set.

I would say that i normally rate things on the generous side. Whether it is food or beer, I am more inclined to say, "eh it wasn’t that bad i guess" even if it should be more critically rated. I preface with that, because that is really saying something when I rate this beer so poorly. I poured rather aggressively and I was absolutely shocked that it produced NO head. Not very little, not less than I’d prefer...NO HEAD. After a few seconds all that was left was a rootbeer-ish foam rim around the glass and that haze that sits in the middle of the glass. To put it in perspective, I literally had to look at the bottle and box to make sure I had not accidentally bought a fancy soda. The mouthfeel is very thin and carbonated like a soda. That is probably the best way to describe the experience: soda-ish.

Kinda plain really. Not bad by any means but nothing standing out about it. Not too heavy on the vanilla. Not gonna be a beer I seek after but won’t mind if someone offers.
