COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

12 oz vottle pours a dark brown.black as expected but without much head or lacing. Aromas is full of vanilla and chocolate as expected. Taste is on the sweet side with a fairly full body and milky mouthfeel. An enjoyable, good, but not great porter

Vanilla aroma hits first, nice dark color. Full flavor, but was looking for more of a vanilla hint. Lacing on glass is faint. Decent beer.

Poured into a pint glass. Brown to copper in color, thin head. Strong roasted malt smell... that’s all though. Roasted malt taste, quick bitterness in the middle, vanilla at the end. Just like that 1, 2, 3. Smoother body, but not smooooth. Moderate carbonation. Easy drinking.

This is much sweeter than I expected - the vanilla really comes through. It has very little aroma or head, but a great bitingly sweet flavor.

This one is a bit off somehow. It pours dark with a skinny head. Aroma of toasted malt, and some off bacon vanilla smell. Palate is thin with a weak mouth feel. Flavor is toasted coffee with an odd vanilla cake flavor. Its not bad to drink, but just a bit off in my opinion. -Fish!

The aroma on this beer is almost non-existent, and what you can smell is not very appealing. The taste of the beer is sweet and not bad. While it is sweet, it can be a bit overwhelming. If you want a beer with a dominant vanilla flavor, this is a good candidate. Not my favorite, but would drink again.

Not much going on aroma wise. The appearance is dark with a thin head that nearly disappears in seconds. The palate is dry upfront and boring with a nice splash of vanilla at the finish. Other than the vanilla flavor at the finish, this is a plain beer with not much going on. It also lacks balance & the rich complexities that I enjoy in a good porter.

Amazing vanilla flavor. Good chocalate flavor. Well balanced brew. Dark. Thanks Porterfield.

Strong vanilla taste on the front end, totally lacking the kind of complexity you would associate with a good porter. It is drinkable, however. I wouldn’t turn it down, but I definitely won’t seek it out.

12oz. bottle. Nose of vanilla, faint coffee and chocolate, sweet and toffeeish, but vanilla seems in control here for the most part. Clear dark brown in color with a lasting, very fine light tan head. Flavor is similar to the aroma, with vanilla and brown sugar sweetness, combined with very mild roast, chocolate and a light touch of hop bitterness towards the finish. Creamy and effervescent on the palate, body is medium. I have to admit, this stuff is pretty much exactly as advertised.
