3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at America on Tap.
Deep brown with a small off white head. Lots of vanilla flavor with some light caramel and chocolate maltiness behind it. I would have preferred a richer sweeter malt base to counter the vanilla.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Brown bottle; Direct pour into snifter-style glass, approx 48 deg.
Appearance: Rich dark brown, ruby tones; Sustainted tan head; Amber/black tones; Inviting
Aroma: Dank; Ever so slight hint of perfume/sweetness
Body/Texture/Mouthfeel: Thinner/fizzier that expected; Astringent character;
Aftertaste: Slightly boozy on retrolfaction; Resiny
Overall: Moderately drinkable; Good for cutting richer food with more robust flavors/characters

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Roasted malt aroma with chocolate and vanilla notes. Pours very dark brown with a thin light brown head with good retention and some lacing. Starts with roasted malt flavors with chocolate and a hint of vanilla as well as a medium body. Finishes quite smooth with the roasted and chocolate malt fading to the background and the vanilla coming to front assertively to coat the palate with a lovely vanilla flavor. Excellent vanilla porter!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft pour at the field brewpub. Rating from notes. This beer was the standout favorite from the Breckenridge beers, and it was hardly close. Pours a dark brownish red color with a big bubble head. Vanilla comes through huge here. Definitely the dominant flavor, as expected. Sweet caramel, with minimum chocolate. Pretty good porter. Good beer here.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear reddish brown with a beige head. Smells like a brown ale. So far from a baltic porter, which I guess is my reference style of porter. Nutty caramel flavors. Thin mouthfeel, weak aftertaste. Very easy drinker. The label promises too much imho. Btw. Where’s the vanilla?

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pour is a deep mahogany brown, with a small slightly creamy (not really tho) white head.
Aroma has some old nutty notes, vanilla extract, dirt and shoes. Taste is somewhat bitter, with a slight sweet start. Slightly full bodied (compared to a brown ale) this really isn’t my thing.... Sorry.
