COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

On draft. Silky pitch black with one fingers worth of off-white foam. Aromas of soft barely noticable vanilla and roast coffee. Taste is smooth with mild chocolate and coffee notes and minimal vanilla. Clean mouthfeel. Very underwhelming.

12 ounce bottle. Translucent mahogany brown color. Medium-sized creamy tan head. Roasted malt aroma has notes of tobacco and cola. Rich malt flavor has a velvety mouthfeel. Subtle notes of caramel and vanilla. In mid-taste. Finish is creamy and rich with notes of raisins and vanilla. Pleasant and very drinkable.

Ok to get the flavor to really peak don't drink it so cold! I made that amateur mistake! All I have to say it reminds me of an A&W cream soda ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Starts with a strong taste of vanilla, but ends a little thin. It’s nice dark beer that is a great representation of a porter.

Pours a nice dark brown color almost blackish with off-white head. Cocoa, vanilla, and some dark fruit on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium-bodied, finishes with a sweet note.

I thought this was really good, although the vanilla was slim. Pours dark brown or black but reddish in the light. Aroma was a little nutty, chocolate milk, slightly herbal, not very pungent but all the classic porter scents are there. Flavor follows with slightly nutty, chocolate, light licorice flavors. Medium body, quick finish. Overall a great, easy drinking, solid porter. Not much vanilla.

Serving: from tap at Moe’s Original BBQ. Aroma: light Appearance: small, frothy, light-brown initial head. Clear dark-red/brown body. Taste: lightly acidic initial flavor and lightly acidic finish with vanilla. Average duration. Palate: medium body, syrupy texture and lively carbonation. Overall: pretty good.

Dark amber color, nice head and a lot of lacing, tast of toast subtle vanilla aroma for the finish. Probably very good with a chocolate cake.

Nice understated vanilla aroma and taste, though too sweet to want more than one.

Looks like a cola with a creamy beige head, decent retention and nice thick creamy lace. Mild chocolate malt with hints of vanilla. The taste is sweet and nutty with the light vanilla that is real. Suttle is the vanilla in this one, not overpowering the porter and not being heavy on the stomach.
