COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

The aroma is weak but some notes of roasted malt are perceptible. The texture is sweet and buttery. The taste of the beer is well balanced and the vanilla adds a delicious spice to the flavor. Well done.

Dark Brown, almost like a stout, nice nut and vanilla flavors; a little bitter on the finish. - March Madness 2014

Aroma: Very sweet smelling. Strong hints of vanilla. Appearance: thin line of creamy head off of pour, solid coffee color but still able to see through the glass. Taste: Great taste. Not too overpowering in the coffee or the vanilla. Excellent balance of flavors. Palate: Creamy mouth feel, flavors on the tip and back of the tongue. Overall: Excellent beer. I would definitely seek this one out again for a stout/porter night.

bottle. Deep brown with small head. Rich porter with moderate vanilla. Also, a hint of chocolate? It’s hard to mess up a vanilla porter, and there are no issues here.

Poured a deep amber with no real head. Some carbonation. Sweet caramel aroma. Distinct vanilla flavour. Not as much chocolate as I would have liked. Slightly slick texture. No real bitterness. Alcohol is not noticeable at all. Overall, fairly nice but nothing overly special.

An awesome vanilla porter from breckenridge. Super easy to drink, super strong on the vanilla flavor. Pours a dark brown in color and smells like vanilla. Had at American junkie ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very dark, clear Christmas red color. Fruity aroma. Citrus, raspberry flavors. Bitter, drying palate.

I did not like this one much at all. It is fairly sweet, lacks bitterness, and is dark in color but has only a weak roast in the aroma. The vanilla combined with the sweetness makes it taste a lot more like cream soda than a typical beer. Pretty disappointing. I love vanilla when it’s paired with a drier beer, or a richer, more bitter and complex beer, but this one was just too simple and sweet, and too much like a soft drink.

Pours dark, reddish brown. Smell is milk chocolate. Taste is sweet, maybe raspberries. Ends with bitter cocoa.

12 oz poured into pint glass. Appears dark brown with finger of off white head. Smells of chocolate and caramel, no vanilla, roast coffee. Tastes of caramel coffee with a hint of sweet and a bit of vanilla. The palate is thin and smooth. Not bad! I just wish for a more vanilla flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
