Bottle courtesy of artusory. Clear brown with a small beige head. Artificial vanilla aroma. Caramel, a little roastiness, vanilla extract. Moderately sweet, light bitterness. Medium bodied, subtle carbonation. Drinkable, but starts to taste like vanilla Coke after a little while.

Bleh, a failed attempt from Breckenridge. Light roast and wood in the nose, with only a hint of vanilla gave me a false first impression, as the flavor is dominated by caramel and vanilla, with a touch of chocolate. It becomes very candy-barish after awhile. Empty finish, virtually no hop flavors or bitterness. Nice garnet color with abig tan head and fair lacing.

Bottle - beautiful vanilla aroma - one of my favorite flavors and aromas. A touch of chocolate is also in the nose. Fairly typical porter appearance - black/brown body with a beige head. As I said, I love vanilla, but I’m not sure about this beer yet. It has a huge vanilla taste all the way through the swallow. Could use more chocolate to balance. It is really just too sweet.

From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with an unnotched bottled on date.
Made a average appearance, poured a Coke Cola brown with an foamy off-white head that quickly settled into a thin bubbly lacing, small amount of sticking, moderate carbonation.
Had a big vanilla cake-like nose with a little lemony herbalness in the background.
A semi-crisp, watery smooth medium bodied mouth feel, because of taste, below average drinkability.
Started off with a nice cherry vanilla taste, followed by lemony herbal bitterness that lasts through the rest of the taste and for me, completely ruins the flavor of this porter, not much porter roastiness to help balance the taste and a sour lemony and herbal finish, by the end the vanilla flavor has disappeared.
I was disappointed with porter, I was hoping for better, I couldn’t recommend it.

Aroma is very slightly rancid smelling atop a sickly sweetness that might be vanilla, but I’m not staking my life on it. There is also a musty roastiness and some mild chocolate and coffee notes. Body is a fairly thick black and it holds a diminishing thumb thick mocha head. Fore is toasted vanilla and roasted malts that impart an acidic bitterness. Chocolate flavors meld with the vanilla to create a hazlenutty/pastry tasting concotion. It actually tastes pretty good if allowed to warm up to room temp, but the aroma is quite off putting. The palate is about right for the style, but barely.

Pours rich and black with a nice aroma of vanilla, cinammon and chocolate. Flavor follows suit, with hints of hazlenut. Palate is a tad watery. Very enjoyable and approachable.

Bottle, thanks to the guy at the liquor stop because he felt bad that they were out of Arrogent Bastard. Aroma of vanilla, minerals, touch of chocolate and more minerals...not very promising. Dark brown in color with an off-white head. Chocolaty flavor with a touch of roasted malt and lots of vanilla...not much else. Medium-full body, fairly creamy.

had at the gingerman in austin , giggity giggity....this beer was made out side the box..STRANGE smell..beutiful look...odd yet strangly delicous, but it goes so down hill after that, i rarely RARELY toss a beer but i had to walk away from this beer, like a thicker flatter sweeter vanilla coke, but if you really like vanilla (which i really thought i did) you might might like it..?

Vanilla and roastines sprominent in the aroma, smells nice. Taste has caramel, vanilla, herbs, and unfortunately some oxidation. Wish the mouthfeel had a creamy feel to it, but its not a big deal. Overall the vanilla taste rules, it overpowers almost all the over flavors, but it doesnt seem to bother me, but it would be a lot better if not oxidized.
