COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

Pours dark black with tanned head. Aroma of chocolate and vanilla. The sweetness of the vanilla seem to overshadow any possible coffee aromas. I like it!

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown with white head. Aroma of vanilla and caramel. Tastes of vanilla, caramel and bitter hops. Very sweet finish. A sweet and delicious beer.

Not bad at all. Strong vanilla flavor. Sweeter than I’d prefer. But, quite flavorful for the ABV.

It pours brown with a tan head. The head doesn’t leave lacing. The aroma is a bit of nuts, a syrupy smell, and that’s about it. The taste does involve vanilla with a bit of poppy carbonation and roasted malts.

Nothing remarkable here. Actually pretty forgettable. Has the classic porter flavor with a presence of vanilla. On the light side for me with a lack luster aroma and pour.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Transparent brown, beige head faded quickly, but left some decent lacing. Aroma of vanilla and some lightly roasted malts. This is a little sweeter than it should be IMHO. Nice vanilla finish. This is a pretty light, thin beer, average carbonation. This was from a "craft your own 6 pack" from the local beer store. Not sure what the price usually is, but if it’s comparable to Leinie’s Vanilla Porter it’s Okay.

Pours a brown color with a white foam head. Aroma is light vanilla and caramel malts. Flavor is sweet vanilla with a touch of bitterness in the finish. This beer is pretty much all vanilla, and I like it.

Dark Porter, Chocolate flavor with vanilla aftertaste. Sweet, light bodied, and pleasant.

seymour (1591) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - MAR 4, 2015
Poured from 12oz brown bottle into nonic pint glass, a clear dark reddish brown colour with weak beige foam and some lace. Aromas of sweet grains, strong vanilla, nice earthy English-style hop impression. Flavours: toasty, slight tartness, black pepper, charred wood, strong vanilla again giving it a root beer soda taste. Lighter body than expected, slight residual sweetness, medium carbonation. Good, easy-drinking, too much vanilla personally, but I can see why it’s so popular.

Bottle from JSA. Dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma is vanilla and malt. Flavour is caramel malt with vanilla, thin enough texture.

Bottle at Stone Row Jim Thorpe. Clear brown thin head. Malty nose. Vanilla and sweet malt. A bit of a candy profile.
