Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

The aroma was intoxicating, but the vanilla flavor was lacking. Not my favorite of the Breckenridge beers.

Poured from a 16 Oz can into a pint glass at the Taco Mac in Cumberland, GA. Has the great cascading nitro look. the taste was very one dimensional and had no "back end".

12oz bottle. Pours a medium brown color with an inch tan head that left a couple rings of lacing. Smell is vanilla, coffee and chocolate. Taste follows the smell with vanilla first and foremost followed by coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, nuts and malt. Lightly carbonated, mouthfeel is thin, a bit watery

Roodbruine kleur met een goede lichtbruine kraag. Ruikt vol, zoetig, vanille, drop, toffee. Smaakt vol, vanille, koffie, kruiden. Zachte vanille smaak.

Can - nitro (another in the "How the Hell did I miss this" series). Vanilla, chocolate malt and straw aroma. Very dark brown with light tan head. Moderately sweet vanilla chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. No carbonation, nice body. Very nice.

Pours a dark brown with white head. A strong chocolate and creamy aroma. A very rich creamy chocolate taste with some malts and coffee. A nice balanced chocolate aftertaste.

Out of all the vanilla porters on the market, this one kicks butt. Bottle. Vanilla and malt aroma. Malty vanilla flavors, but it's more intense than other vanilla porters out there. Nice beer!

Pours a clear medium brown with a medium head of tan foam. Not much aroma. Fairly thin and watery with not much flavor. Not really bad but just not that good.

Pours from bottle a deep dark brown with garnet depths, one-finger, slightly pinkish buff head that leaves some nice lacing. Nose is roast malt, caramel, slight milk chocolate. First swallow had me asking where the vanilla was, but that came through stronger after a moment. Sprightly mix with the malt and lactose, balanced again chocolate and whiff of dark fruit without becoming heavy. The selling points here are creamy mouthfeel, controlled alcohol and pleasant flavor not trying to pulverize your palate. A good session beer.
