COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

From the bottle, pours black with a thin off white head. Chocolatey birchy aroma. Taste is thin, smooth chocolate, fades to a roasty bitterness, mellowing as it warms. Vanilla notes too, this is a pretty good beer.

Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is strong of vanilla, chocolate, sweet, very desserty smelling. Taste is strong vanilla, smooth, easy, good carbonation. Overally, a good beer.

Pours a rich dark coffee bean color, but thinly tasting for a porter. Hint of vanilla on first taste but something drier and sharper. Pepper perhaps? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Decent porter with strong coffee and chocolate flavors but lacking some vanilla. Overall a great beer, but since it is advertised as being vanilla, I would expect more vanilla.

I poured it from a bottle to a pint glass and it was purchased in Denver, CO. Typical Vanilla Porter I Guess. I like Dry Docks better to be honest wit you. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Decent porter. Not as much vanilla as i would like but still good. Lots of coffee and some chocolate caramel. A little but of metallic tinge to it but still decent porter.

Poured from bottle into shaker. Cola brown, with little off-white head that diminishes quickly. Little smell, with faint notes of vanilla. Taste has some vanilla/ crean soda, with a slightly bitter porter bite at the end. Quite a bit of carbonation, so not remarkably smooth. Overall, not great, but ok for what it is. Kind of like drinking a soda.
