COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Who would have thought deep in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and Madagascar grew the perfect ingredient to build an extraordinary Porter in Colorado? An ale that has all the chocolate and roasted nut flavor of a classic Porter, with an enigmatic surprise thrown in for good measure, real vanilla bean. Breckenridge Brewery’s Vanilla Porter. A vanilla kiss in a rich, dark sea.

Light aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and molasses. Poured a dark brown with small, light tan head that quickly receded into a thin foamy cap. Nice light lacing. A very nice sweet flavor of roasted malt, sweet chocolate, molasses, light vanilla. A very nice bitter sweet medium finish. Very pleasant. Light body, thin, slighly oily texture, with a soft to medium carbonation. A very pleasant Porter, although a touch more vanilla would’ve been nice. I really enjoyed and will definitely buy again. Served in a Stein.

This was my very first try at a vanilla porter, and i throughly enjoyed it. The scent of vanilla is prominent in the first smell. The pour is dark brown with a thin tan head. The taste is strong vanilla, with a hint of chocolate with roasted malts.

translucent reddish mahogany with a thin but persistent beige head: full body with medium-high carbonation.

aroma: baked grains, bran muffins, burnt sugars, and silage.

taste: lots of vanilla, sweet malt, yellow cake, chocolate malt.

certainly not the first vanilla beer i’ve had, but this is unique and complex and intriguing. yes, it’s a dessert beer, but a great one.

Very soft creamy feel. I had this in both nitro at world of beer and bottle from the store. Both are very good but nitro is the best. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

WOW! Best porter I have ever had! Aroma was of vanilla and coffee. Flavor was of course vanilla, malty, coffeeish, with a hint of chocolate and maybe even some fruit... You know, maybe this is one of the best BEERS I have had period.

Good smelling beer of honey and vanilla. Very smooth and clean on the palate. Flavors are sweet and smooth. Very good beer, even Julie would drink this dark ale. Buy again.

I wasn't sure what I was getting into. Then I poured it into my glass and was in heaven. Dark, tasty and the aroma of vanilla coffee. Beautiful small bubbles on top. Deep black color. Easy on the way down. One of my favorites ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Breckenridge’s Vanilla Porter, a true taste of excellence: from the draw to the final drop, this Porter is a true testament of craft beers. The initial aroma is that of a warming feel as the scents of caramel and malts seductively dance under your nose. The frothy head atop of the opaque body captures the eye. The initial bitterness associated with a Porter is complimented by the semi-sweet vanilla finish. One of my all-time favorites!

Aroma: Very sweet smelling. Strong hints of vanilla. Appearance: thin line of creamy head off of pour, solid coffee color but still able to see through the glass. Taste: Great taste. Not too overpowering in the coffee or the vanilla. Excellent balance of flavors. Palate: Creamy mouth feel, flavors on the tip and back of the tongue. Overall: Excellent beer. I would definitely seek this one out again for a stout/porter night.
