2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask (handpump), at the Wenlock Arms (with Spiesy). As Spiesy says, this drinks like a session bitter, albeit a slightly malty one, and does not really shine in any department. The malt comes over a bit raw and undeveloped. A reasonable, but not very refined, bitter.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cow & Plough Beer Festival. Bronze and red in colour with a small head. Aromas are fruity and vineous with blackcurrent and spices. Flavours are fruity, juicy malts followed by a fair degree of dryness. A little thin on the palate but therefore easier to glug!

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask Conditioned, at the Wenlock Arms, London.
Light amber colour with a fine white head. Easy drinking bitter that is probably stronger than it needs to be. Given its strength I’d say this beer is punching beneath its weight.
