COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special.
Commissioned by Councillor Mike Foster, who was elected the Mayor of Brecon on 9th May, 2011, this is a classic Bronze hued Best Bitter. Brewed with Pale, Cara and Oat malts for a well rounded, full flavour. Goldings and Sovereign hops provide a balanced bitterness and a refreshing citrusy hint to the aroma - a splendidly Welsh Pint!

Cask conditioned at The Anchor, Birmingham. Amber with white head. Bready, doughy beer with a pretty wierd medicinal, cough sweet flavour. Somewhat fruity and flowery. I struggled just a little with this.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival on 27 April 2011. Darkish amber colour. After having concentrated on the bigger IPAs and Stouts at this first session of the festival (didn’t want them to run out before I got to them), I suppose it’s not too surprising that this beer, which is in a much more traditional UK vein, should come across as rather prosaic, even mundane. But it’s a pretty decent best bitter with a solid mix of dryish, slightly biscuity, malts and tangy, vaguely citric hops Entirely fit for purpose, just not as attention-grabbing as what had gone before.
