COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed by Oranjeboom, Rotterdam (Netherlands) until the early 90’s. After the closing of Oranjeboom production was moved to Breda (Netherlands). This brewery was called Verenigde Bierbrouwerijen Breda-Rotterdam at that time and soon to be renamed to Oranjeboom Brouwerij. The Breda Royal brand however always still mentioned United Dutch Breweries (wich translates to Verenigde Brouwerijen). On closing of Oranjeboom Brouwerij, Breda in 2004 by InBev production was moved to both Bremen and Leuven. Until 2008 when Randalls acquired the licence. Some production is also done at Hofbrauhaus Wolters (under the name Getränkeindustrie Altewiek).

500 ml can bought at 759 Store in Sheung Shui Centre.

Piss pale dull golden colour; Very thin head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Very small sticky lacing and active small carbonation; Light pungent smell of malt, with faint floral, dough, bread, and very light lemony grass; Very light sweet taste of thin malt, with faint syrup, very light wet cardboard, dough, light bread, very light lemon and faint grass; Light body. Thin and slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is standard Euro macro. Light body with appropriate thin maltyness, sweetness is barely detectable, some wet paper but not a bugger. Quite doughty and bready, plus some faint light hops. Okay… Hoppiness is very light lemon and faint grass in nose and taste. Minimal bitterness for an lightly malty finish; Fairly dry after taste, wery easy to mouth.

Comments: This one may be standard, un-fanciful everyman’s Euro macro, but in all honesty, the smell is okay with bits of neat floral, taste is pretty clean with light malt and thin hops, and as a going down-easy crowd pleaser, it serves it purpose well enough. I have no complain and it’s okay with me. A good companion for watching football matches.

Looks like pale Dutch lager. Smells like pale Dutch lager only paler. Tastes like ambrosia from the Gods... of Dutch lager... only without any ambrosia. Completely unremarkable.

A slightly malty aroma from this yellow almost clear beer with no head. A bitter medium light bodied club soda with a bit of grainy flavor. Not a horrible lager but coulda been a bit better

A golden lager with a thin white head. In aroma, bready malt with mineral notes, light German hops, faint. In mouth, a corny grainy malt with light German hops, very boring. Can from a local Asunción supermarket.

Canned, 0.50l. Clear golden color with average frothy white head and average visible carbonation. Arom of moderate malt, cereals, light butter and cooked vegetables. Taste starts with heavy sweet malt, followed light grainy and grassy sour, while finished with fairly noticable bitterness. Light to medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Not so royal, but just an average lager...

Pours a clear pale yellowish body with a small white lacing lager-head. Aroma is malty with notes of dusty sour hops. Lively carbonation, watery mouthfeeling and quite light-bodied. Tastes light malty and grainy with notes of corn and a mild metallic bitterness in the finish.
