[5/5/13] Bottle at Mikkeler & Friends in Copenhagen. Bottle #758. Dark red-purple with a lovely pink head. Lovely aroma with brett, oak and lots of cassis. Great sour flavor with oak, brett, lots of cassis and a slightly lemony finish. Rounded-mouthfeel. Wonderful.

First American rating, aw yeah, shared by Johan. Gorgeous pour, deep maroon with pink foam. The cassis hits huge, bright and juicy and rich, but is balanced out with controlled minerality and a light sourness. Absurdly drinkable, almost soda-like, and reminds me of the burgeoning "Florida Weiss" movement. Delicious.

Appearance: Cloudy red color with a small bubbly head.
Aroma: Funky acidic berry fruity.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and a fine bitterness. Soft carbonation. Dry texture.
Taste: Complex acidic and sour ale. Berry fruity. Blac currant.
Overall impression: Tasty and fresh sour ale.

Bottle at mikkeller & Friends - Thanks. Super lækker cassid. Funky notes. Stones. Lots of red berries. Citrus. Acid notes. Marzipan. Wooden. Fruity.

Bottled. Deep red coloured. Dense off white head. Aroma: Cherries, sweetness, light sourness. Flavour: Grape, light leather, fruits, wood, sourness. Medium to full bodied. Ends sourish and grapy. Nice.

Bottle, 33 cl, at Papsø, thanx. Beautiful light red with a pink head. What a lovely aroma, fruity, light tarty and intense, bringing back happy childhood memories of picking up black currants for my mum. Very dry,light tart flavor, sooo fruity, with a nice touch of citrus and a little woodyness for balance. Very good.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a deep red with a slight haze and a warm pinkish - or even purple - head. A vague whiff of barnyard in the nose, but the blackcurrant totally dominates. Medium body, dry and slightly tart with massively fresh blackcurrant. Minerally, even salty, with a dry tartness. Very interesting - but as always I’d love it even funkier. But full of promises as always from Brekeriet. 220413

Bottle. Light hazy cherry red with a small pink head. Aroma is black currants, leathery brett notes, bark. Taste is light/medium sweet and sour. Medium body, oily texture, soft+ carbonation. Dry finish, refreshing.

Bottle at Malmö Öl & Whisky Festival. Dark red coloured with a samll pink head. Fruity and light acidic aroma of black currants and red wine grapes. Fruity and light acidic flavour of black currants and barnyard. Tart finish.

Sampled @ En Öl och Whisky mässa 2013. Hazy red with a small pink head. Very fruity with sour tones. Black currant, acididt and sour. Medium body with a pleasant bitter / sour after taste. Very nice !
