Brekeriet White Label
Brekeriet Cassis is a sour ale mainly fermented with Brettanomyces yeast. Black currant is added during the secondary fermentation and this yeast loves berries which is shown in the fantastic taste of the beer. Brekeriet Cassis is refermented in the bottle which gives a thin layer of yeast at the bottom of the bottle.

Flaska från systemet - frisk bärdoft, väldigt syrlig. Smakar svartvinbärssaft. Riktigt trevlig.

Mmm, what a beer. Smells of cassis, sour taste with the cassis coming in quite strong in the aftertaste. Room temperature gives more than from the fridge.

Bottle from Emil, thank you very much! Yields a dark red, ember color with a purple note to it, and a thin head. leaving back a decent lacing. The aromas unleash an intense, ripe fruitiness of cassis berries, providing also darker, more matured stone qualities. While it has a recognizable tart note, its not too present on its own, but illustrates the present fruit. Smells actually quite sweet, with lots of fruity, slightly fermented, sugared cassis berries. Taste and smell compliment each other perfectly, as the flavors of the beer are more sour than the nose revealed. Begins with a tart acidity, leathery malts and a good load of barnyard funk. The fruitiness is still very present, with a short earthy, sweet peak, which then turns slightly dry, very sour without discarding its stone qualities. Cassis berries are integrated outstandingly well, recognizable at every stage of drinking the beer. While evolving from sweet, to earthy, to dry, the fruit is always the centerpiece of the taste. Even though the beer finishes with a crazy long lasting, tongue quenching sourness, the fruits, now relieved of all sweetness still interacts well with the tartness.

Color rubí limpio y espuma marfil. Aromas de frutos rojos, mineral y madera. Cuerpo medio, sabor afrutado con acidez viva equilibrada con un dulzor igualmente afrutado que da paso a un final seco moderado.

At Borefts 2014. Apperance is red, pink foam. Cassis, fruity, lemonade, and sour all blend together nicely. Dry finish. Lovely!

Bottle share. Aroma of tart red wine, pepper, cherry, vegetable, and gooseberry? Taste is brilliantly tart. Awesome dry finish, but clean.
