COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brekeriet White Label
Brekeriet Cassis is a sour ale mainly fermented with Brettanomyces yeast. Black currant is added during the secondary fermentation and this yeast loves berries which is shown in the fantastic taste of the beer. Brekeriet Cassis is refermented in the bottle which gives a thin layer of yeast at the bottom of the bottle.

Vestergaard (687) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - AUG 2, 2014
On tap at Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours rubyred with a small pink head. Aroma has lots of cassis-juice, hay, brett. Really dry. Taste is Nice sour, dry with lots of rather indefinabel berry-notes. Raspberry, cassis etc. After taste is much like mixed sour berries. Tiggeling feel with High carb. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ninecats (256) - Uddevalla, SWEDEN - JUL 24, 2014
Bottle 75cl at home. Pours slight hazy deep red with a medium pink head that settles quick and leaves a ring on the surface. Aroma is loads and loads of fresh tart berries (currant, blackberry), funky, yeasty and dusty tones in the background. Taste is tart berry, with again sour berries like currants and blackberry. A slight lactic sour tone, cherry-like, backed up with yeast, earth and funk. Ends tart and dry. Medium body, medium carbo with sharp bubbles. Extremely refreshing, very nice display of the fruitiness. Well done!

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2015 Bottle... RBSG 2014... Pours rusty-red with a mid-sized, fluffy, off-white head. Great retention. The bouquet furnishes a shit-ton of fruity, earthy, tannic currants. Medium to full-bodied with soft carbonation. As goes the nose, so goes the flavor - loads of tart, earthy, tannicly bitter currants. Tangy Full-bodied, raspy, finish.

2014-06-28, Bottle at CapFlu’s Blomster Bash, 7-4-5-2-11=29
Cloudy red color with compact head. Nice cassis aroma. Feety sour flavor, trainwreck.

2014-01-26, draught at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö, Gustav Adolf Torg, 8-4-6-3-13=34
Hazy dark ruby color with large pink head. The cassis aroma is deep and very nice, with a lemony edge. The mouthfeel is dryish, the cassis flavor is moderate, the acidity low; there is an impression of herbs (sage).
Overall, the aroma is intense but the flavor is bland.

750 ml bottle shared by anders37 at RBSG’s grand tasting. Thanks again, Anders! Pours a ruby red color with a pink head. Notes of wildflowers, herbs, black currants, cherries, dandelion, grass, tannins, and lactic acid. Light-bodied, with a dry, tart mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Awesome stuff.
