Brekeriet White Label
Brekeriet Cassis is a sour ale mainly fermented with Brettanomyces yeast. Black currant is added during the secondary fermentation and this yeast loves berries which is shown in the fantastic taste of the beer. Brekeriet Cassis is refermented in the bottle which gives a thin layer of yeast at the bottom of the bottle.

Another top contender from Friday’s tasting. Didn’t know about this brewery until then, but this was fantastic.

When I drink this beer, I think back to my childhood when my mom made black currant juice. Need I say more? Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Courtesy of Martinus. 35 cl. bottle sampled @ decadent symmetry tasting. Simple but effective design. Appearance is quite incredible, Deep cranberry cassis with sadly a non-lasting pink head. Nose is pretty much pure cassis juice from a pack, incredible with a light tart, really nice. Taste is touch natural sweet cassis juice, slight bitter cassis & grape skins, lightly bitter herbs, grape wines, blackcurrant, hint brett. Fine brett, big juice-like. Body is very easy, very lovely beer, bit more juice than beer but when something is as good as this one, I do not care.

Bottle thanks to tad. Purple with pink head, yes. Strong blackcurrant aroma, some funk, ribena. Taste of ribena, light funk. Very acidic and tart. Delish

From a bottle at GBWF 2013. Clear ruby, low pink head. Fresh earthy black currant aroma, some vague funk in the background. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation. Dry with medium acidity. Now this is how you make a fruit beer!

First American rating, aw yeah, shared by Johan. Gorgeous pour, deep maroon with pink foam. The cassis hits huge, bright and juicy and rich, but is balanced out with controlled minerality and a light sourness. Absurdly drinkable, almost soda-like, and reminds me of the burgeoning "Florida Weiss" movement. Delicious.

Tap at BBF’14. Pours intense red with purple hue, cool colour, nearly no head. Intense aroma of all kinds of red forest fruits, but black currants in particular. Nice fresh and tart body, with lots of fruit funk and tannins, medium dry finish. Fruit bomb but all integrated well into an incredible and tasty beer.

Mmm. So juicy. A dark red pour with light head. Holy crap so fruity and juicy in taste. I get the currants but I also get strawberries and a little bit of blackberries. Super drinkable. I want loads more. Thanks @adamjackson.
