COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brekeriet White Label
Brekeriet Cassis is a sour ale mainly fermented with Brettanomyces yeast. Black currant is added during the secondary fermentation and this yeast loves berries which is shown in the fantastic taste of the beer. Brekeriet Cassis is refermented in the bottle which gives a thin layer of yeast at the bottom of the bottle.

Draft at Mikkeller and friends. Refreshingly sour but the sourness does´t become to much. Great black currant flavour!

Tap @ CBC 2014. Pours deep red with a small, staying pink head. Aroma has clear black currant, almonds, light tartness. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite light mouthfeel. Flavour is surprisingly tart and fresh, black currant, light pepper. Quite elegant.

02-MAY-2014, draft @CBC, Blue Session. Red with a huge pink head. Beautiful. Aroma is cassis, very fruity. Taste the same. Quite simple. Not a lot of brett. Thin body, soft carbonation. OK, but not all the way up with the best.

Shared at RBSG 2014. Thanks Anders. Nose is amazingly fruity with some hay and barn. Taste is immediately puckering and a light rooty earthiness to it. Pour is crazy red. Very tastey with a chest thumping sourbess in the finish.

On tap at Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours rubyred with a small pink head. Aroma has lots of cassis-juice, hay, brett. Really dry. Taste is Nice sour, dry with lots of rather indefinabel berry-notes. Raspberry, cassis etc. After taste is much like mixed sour berries. Tiggeling feel with High carb. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap. Pours ruby red with a tiny fizzy head. Aroma of fresh sour berries, obviously cassis here, and some Ribena (cassis juice brand) . Also some wok yeasty Brett notes. Taste is fresh and tart with some sour berries, Ribena juice, Vitamins and some Wild yeast.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a deep red with a slight haze and a warm pinkish - or even purple - head. A vague whiff of barnyard in the nose, but the blackcurrant totally dominates. Medium body, dry and slightly tart with massively fresh blackcurrant. Minerally, even salty, with a dry tartness. Very interesting - but as always I’d love it even funkier. But full of promises as always from Brekeriet. 220413

Bottle, many thanks to Bruce. It pours deep, cloudy red-purple with a small white head. The nose is dark cherry, blackcurrant, jam, sweet candy and candyfloss. The taste is sharp lemon, Granny Smith apple, cherry, blackcurrant, touch of spice, sweat and wood with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Nice sweet-sour balance. Good deal of sharp tartness, which I rather like. Tasty stuff.
