3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.0%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Nice funky aroma of farmhouse, horse stable, fermenting apples. The flavour is less sour than I expected, with a more pronounced hoppy bitterness than in any other "farmhouse" ale Iíve tasted. dry, moderately funky and yeasty / peppery, but first and foremost bitter - too bitter for the style, I think. Not a bad beer though.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
New Beer Distributors, NYC bottle: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is floral, bretty, with some light fruit. Tste is slightly bitter and quite tangy. The brett is powerful in this one, but it does not make it too sour or earthy or anything. Not bad.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, nearing BBD. Myrky, dirty orange with stable white airy head. Funky citrus aroma, malt also. Funky, malty flavour with sour orange and something strangely artificial or chemical - I think it might be burnt plastic. Dry and fluffy but this chemical thing just goes on and on...

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Head is initially average sized, fizzy/frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy medium to dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain, corn starch), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of lemon/lime zest/juice, band aid, concrete.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Itís kind of hard to think of this as a saison, but whatever. Itís like a light Bretty blonde ale thatís been mixed with lemon-lime soda...sour-ish and very fizzy and lemon-limey. So it doesnít come across as particularly serious.
