Brekeriet Black Label
Brekeriet Saison is a Scanian saison receiving its special character by fermentation using a mixture of different yeast strains, particularly those of the genus Brettanomyces. The beer is carbonated naturally by fermentation in the bottle and therefore giving a thin layer of yeast on the bottom.

This is a great saison. It´s full of flavour, fresh and perfect for a summer´s evening. Nice one inch head after pouring, orange and a touch hazy appearance Taste is malty, fresh fruit, appleish and brett backbone. Aftertase is sour lemony, nuts and creamy. Mouthfeel is full and well rounded.Good carbonation, not overdone My new favourite and as good (if not as complex) as the few Hill Farmstead that I´ve been lucky enough to try.

Bottle@Home. Black pepper, citrus and fresh hay aroma. Yellow, off-white firm head, good lace. Sweet, light bitter, citrus, black pepper, hazy, green apples. Wow! This is really great stuff.

Draught at GBWF 2013. Cloudy orange colour with medium-sized head. There’s hay, brett and citrus in aroma. Body is gentle and soft. Fruity, woody flavour with brett and a whisper of smokey phenols. Really good and balanced!

A very successful and full-bodied saison completely bombarded with floral yeast flavor. The finish is long with a crisp hop flavor.

Pours yellow with a dense white head. Smell of brett, yeast, and a sprucy citrusy herby input, not quite belgian yeast but reminding of it. Taste is a lot better than aroma, actually super good, first of all it’s super balanced, and has a great mouthfeel, perfect amount of dryness, maybe just a tiny bit too sweet, a bit of herby input with some bubblegum, and a barnyard feel, reminds me a bit of Dupont Avec les Bons Voeux, but it’s 6.5% and a probably the best saison i’ve had at 6.5%.

Bottle at James’ place for a tasting. Pours a hazed golden amber with a thin white head. Big sweet funky musk. Medium bodied, big and funky, toast and malt. Soft wheat and more gentle funky yeast. Very tasty.

Pours a little hazy amber body with a tiny head. A funky and sour aroma. A well balanced and sour taste makes this one really nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
