Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival (Day 1) on 6 December 2011. Listed in the festival programme and on the Pigs Ear website as Berry Ale but on the cask end label as Berry Christmas (which seems to be the correct name). Darkish amber colour. Decent condition. Nutty and a touch smoky malts. Came over as a traditional style, malt-led bitter. Juniper is noticeable if you know it’s there but quite subtle, which may not be a bad thing - spiced Christmas beers can easily take things too far.
